Help on Proceeeor Choice...

Hi All,

I have got a query. Following are the prices of the processors taken from itwares.

Core 2 Duo 2.13 Ghz E6400 - (2MB L2 cache 2.13Ghz 1066MHz FSB) 8300
Core 2 Duo 2.13 Ghz E6420 - (4MB L2 cache 2.13Ghz 1066MHz FSB) 8200
Core 2 Duo 2.33 Ghz E6550 - (4MB L2 cache 2.33Ghz 1333MHz FSB) 7900
Core 2 Duo 2.66 Ghz E6750 - (4MB L2 cache 2.66Ghz 1333MHz FSB) 8900

The query is - How come the price of E6550 with more fsb requency and more clock speed is cheaper than E6400, E6420 with lowwer cache,lower fsb freq and lower clock speed?

Frankly I don't understand this at all.

Are there any extra features in E6400 or E6420?

I am gonna build a new pc in next week. I want to make a decision quickly.

Yes, I have read the post. But still I really wonder - if that's the only reason then they should sell them at cheaper prices to get rid of them quickly.

Anyway, I am thinking to go for E6550 as E6750 is 1000/-Rs costlier.
