Question A good gaming MotherBoard-CPU combo suggestion required.

Hello Everyone,

Can someone suggest some Motherboard-CPU combo. My main intention is gaming. My friend has an AMD Athlon64 X2 3400+ and an ASUS M2N-MX motherboard. Many games run (at lower resolutions though) on his PC using onboard graphics. I am not sure whether to settle for and AMD or a Core2 system. The vendor tells me that later it will become hard to upgrade an AMD system. I don't know if the Intel GMA integrated graphics is as good as the nForce chipset.

Also, is there a nForce chipset based board for Core2 system?

for gaming , u need a dedicated gpu .
so go for C2D and buy a g-card based on ur budget. If ur budget is restricted , then amd may provide more bang for buck . thats upto u and it depends a lot on ur budget and whether u want to OC ( i dont c any reason y u dont want to OC a C2D ) .

but in either case , u need a dedicated gpu for gaming. So , Wats ur budget ?

Lets omit the GPU for now. Please temm about a CPU-MOBO combo for about 15-20K. Also, please tell if there are any boards with the nForce chipset for Core2 duo?

U are getting the basic thing wrong, none of the Intel LGA 775 nforce chipset supporting Core processors comes with On board VGA so, u cant compare those with Intel GMA at any point... !!!

I think I have writen a lot about that in the Given Link, all depends on ur budget !!! new New AMD X2 with 1 MB caches comes with come kick ass performance too
