Default restarting computer!!!

a friend and i installed NFS-MW on his comp, and when we tried playin it the comp restarted. we tried re-installin but the prob persisted. the same happened when we tried playin fifa-07 and warcraft. we suspected a corrupt sector on the ram. (is tat correct??) and so we ran an app called memtest to check for the same but it said everythin was fine. wat could be the possible problems?

does it happen only while playing games or otherwise too?

two causes come to my mind:
1) driver issues
2) overheating

Gaming puts lot of stress on the PC components...And this is where they fail if there are some dents.
I dont think its virus ...!
I think its either Over heating or Lack of Good PSU Power.
First check the temperature of CPU and GPU card if you have it .
Then try exchanging the SMPS from that of your friends with a higher rates ones.

Its doesnt seem to be a virus issue coz i checked it.
as of over heatin, i kinda ruled tat out coz i use zone alarm and according to its log the temp is below 50 deg. so i think its fine.
no blue screen appears when it restarts.
it happens only during gaming, i once ran the comp at 100%CPU usage for bout a min and a half and it din restart.

thanx for all ur posts!! problem still persists.....

cheers
