Gmax mouse not recognizined

I have a compaq presario V6000, windows vista basic loaded. I bought a gmax optical minimouse.. and it cant be recognized.. by it..and it dosent work though i see the light on. I didnt get any drivers with the mouse.
Please help me.

help me please... maybe its a problem in vista compatibility.

i think you need to change the USB port (i mean just unplug the mouse and use another port) and if you have try another mouse ps2 or usb.. then restart you PC and at boot time insert the USB mouse(gMAX) in the port.. it should show your mouse ... if not then check the mouse in another pc.. if it works then tell it here...

hey ...i hav been stuck up wid d same problem..!
usb not recognised is wot i see, n wen i check for drivers online...it sayz d windows hav d right drivers installed..!! so hard luck...
n yes i do hav tried d rebooting n replugging thing....!!
so nething else u can help with???
