Question dvd writer getting very slow.


my sony dvd writer is getting very very slow. .it often takes more than 30 min to write a dvd.Its a last october purchase.pls help wat to do.

But sometimes due to some software or hardware installation it does switches to PIO. No harm in checking it and ensuring it frm that point.

Anywayz also try changing ur media to see if it helps.
My friend's Sony used to write on a writex -R at full speed in some 25 mins but on the Sony media it wrote in 8 mins flat !

its the dma to pio mode fallback feature of windows .all you need to do is check out my tutorial on it.
change pio transfer mode to UDMA
it will help you 100% sure only if you can follow the procedure correctly
