Re: Assembling My Own Rig
naa since its a budget 1 5000 will just do fine !! later with a 4k gfx u can watch HD movies @ hig rs no problem
the rest of the money if save keep it for later gfx card money or get some thing good as good speakers if music is alll that imp may be 5.1 if later u can get money ...so save it
you are a 17 yr old guy.........so dont worry this ASUS M2NPV NM has got a onboard gfx...which will let u play the games or else which wont load at all
later add a gfx and get that quality in the display !! like 8500 GT is at 4.5k
hey this mobo has no support for Quad Core as of now !! note this !!
if u go AMD way...there are no quad cores !! yet to be released and that too socket AM2+...

Re: Assembling My Own Rig
thanx. i'll be going with 5000+ then. i hope imb cache won't make much of a difference & as 5000+ also has power saving it'll really be a good value for money.

Re: Assembling My Own Rig
well i dont know how its cache affects.....it performance
but when u compare its benchmarks and performance it beats the budget C2D and come to the level of C2d E6420
check out http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu_20...=928&chart=419

I dont want to be rude but you guys are just defeating the main purpose of the thread started by choto_cheeta. Fireseeker couldve asked the question there and people wouldve replied.

Re: Assembling My Own Rig
ok then go for 5200 u shld get it for 5700 to 6000 rs dont settle for anything higher
ask any shop in SP road.......they will say 2225-2300rs bargain it
see this post
http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/show...&postcount=109
@fireseeker check this out....i suggested 5000 on the basis of CPU charts and benchmarks...and price being about 800 - 1000 rs less then 5200
http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/...E13076,00.html
check this out every thing is given...even power supply
for brisbane is 65nm and windsor is 90nm
65nm has less power consumption !!!

Re: Assembling My Own Rig
go for the following config....
Core 2 duo E6750 - 8700
Intel g33 MB - 5500
Ram 1gb kingston - 1800
Seagate 250gb - 2700
Zebronics lava with 400w PSU - 1300
Total-------------------------20000
after some time u may change the PSU........
It will kill any AMD offering at the stock speed itself....if u have graphics card buy XFX 650i instead....

Not going with Intel....ha ha ha....
shows ur brand(AMD) Loyalty...
Its not wise....only u r going to lose....
go with a brand which gives u a better product....(currently it is Intel-the situation may change when Barcelona comes out)...fanboyism and brand loyalty are absolutly rubbish....

Re: Assembling My Own Rig
i find ASUS M2NPV NM great AMD budget motherboard !! Me and My friend got this mobo 3 days bck for 4.2k
its got Geforce 6150 onboard !! with Shader Version 3.0 !! this shader version should allow u play games coz i have seen many games ask for shader v 3.0 !! that's why edge over M2A !!
its got HDTV out !! connect ur comp to ur TV and enjoy !!
its also comes with firewire port !!
has 1 PCI ex slot !! u can later add gfx card !!
You Can easily connect your old ide hdd and new sata hdd with no problems just see that u read the manual nicely !! that's all !!
Processor, Motherboard, HDD, Cabanite, RAM, PSU
if this all you need ???? then do an intel man !!!
Core 2 duo E6750 - 8700
Intel g33 MB - 5500
Ram 1gb kingston - 1800
Seagate 250gb - 2700
Zebronics lava with 400w PSU - 1300
sounds good for me..........E6750 being 8k actually and if you are in mumbai or b'lore then good....u can get the above parts cheaper then mentioned
or go for E6550 @ 1k cheaper price........common this is like the best will beat ur AMD 5000+ hell
AMD 5000+ was for 15k budget upgrade dude not 20k
but i dont know if this onboard gfx is good !! and if u can play games on it !!
if not get 1 for jus 4k or may be 3k in dec....tht shld allow u play games nicely

Re: Assembling My Own Rig
if u r not goin to game then get a m2avm.. Cos the 690g outperforms the 6150se in normal gfx rendering.. The only plus of 6150 is sm3.0.. As clear as that

oohh ya. 1 more thing. the mobo u suggested is ATXu form. i wanted a ATX form. i'm thinking to buy the mobo from ASUS.
