a blue screen error

yesterday i have installed xp-os in my system.then it go to the welcome screen and show one error message in blue screen,i think partmanager_sys.it is the name what can i see and the error is appear in full screen.then it will restart.then i plug the ram and clean it.then i put the ram in another slot.it work fine.what can i do?please help me.wat s my problem?

this is called Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)

it could be a RAM slot defect. did u try to put the RAM in the same slot after cleaning

yes the screen is appearing again and again.then i remove the ram in the slot and put the ram in another slot it will work fine for one day or somewhat.then the blue screen have appears again.then i remove the ram in the slot and put in another slot it will work fine again.is it the ram slot is defected?the system has warranty also.what can i do.can i manually repair the ram slot?what can i do?please help me..

do not try to repair it urself. it will void warranty. get it repaired if its under warranty. but does it happen with both the slots? if yes maybe the RAM is faulty.
