I'm having any hardware problm????????

hi,
in last one week i have formated my drives twise? becuase it gets freaze sometime.....
i was having an virus problm but after formating and running system twice with three antivirus still today my system got freeze,

I'm having any hardware problm??????(yesterday i formated my drive and installed fresh copy of XP)

ru running all 3 avs all @ d same time?? BIG mistake if u do so. if not u also mentioned sumtimes. if dat is d case wat exactly do u do when u face this problem?

u cud also b facing heat issues, is ur CPU fan working properly, is sumthin' obstructing d airflow [big time] check out d temp of ur cpu when it freezes [actually if ur comp freezes u r facing extremely low temp , hangs maybe]

no i'm ot doing any mistake i used them seprately. i restart my pc again.

but in MBM i'm not getting the option for motherbord i'm using D915gav.

by usin' them seperately do u mean all 3 r installed @ d same time but u run an on-demand scan only 1 at a time. if dats d case den u shud know dat realtime scanners keep a check in d background even wen u do not demand a scan and dis does cause magor problems

also o u did not say as 2 wat exactly u do wen ur comp goes kaput

at a time in my system i install only one antivirus....
when my system freezes i restart the system.

check ur hardware temp using speedfan..maybe its getting too much heated..give ur pc a days rest and recheck...And use only one anti-virus software like Kaspersky. Its quite good and runs on low resources.

I installed speed fan its showing me cpu temp. 61-66c.
it freezes once at temp of 61c. now its showing
what is ideal temp for cpu?

wat cpu do u have ? the cpu temp is quite high unless u've OCed it pretty much . mu p4 presshot runs at 49c on idle and maxes at 56C .

i have P4 and motherbord intel D915 gav.

if my my pc is to hot then what to do now?

y don't u remove d processor fan, srape off d old thermal paste and apply a fresh coat of thermal paste like Artic Silver, then put d fan back on, den c if it solves ur problem, since P4s have a covered core it is not dat risky, just do it carefully
btw either DIGIT gave a brief description of doing this in their July 2007 issues page 73

no no u don't have 2 buy a new fan [if dat is wat u interpreted]

all u gotta do is seperate it form d processor
it is usually attached 2 d processor using a clip arrangement

as 4 d cost of a tube of artic silver thremal paste, it will set u back by 150-200 bucks no more.

shud b easily available in Lammy
