help on laptop upgrade from T2300 to T2600

i have a laptop with intel core duo proc with T2300 1.66 GHz, on Intel 945GM chipset. Can I upgrade it to > 2GHz like T2600 2.16GHz? How much will the price be?

any better suggestions are also welcome.

wud u mind upgrading to T5200 core 2 duo....else it wudnt serve much of ur purpose....

ur manufacturer??? y not...ya but 2b practical twill cost u more but in dat case wat good u think its gonna do by upgrading some gegahertz....wont make much practical diff but a 64bit cpu certainly will.....thr r many app n oses wich come for support of 64 bit machines...plus ur 3d graphical performance will increase....

There is no retail market for mobile Core 2 Duo processors in India. So, you won't find it. Another thing, what you're asking for is a high-end version of 2 generation old Intel processor. Those are no longer provided to OEM/ODMs too. First generation Core 2 Duo processor was pin-comatible with core duo yonah. But the current Core 2 Duo processors use socket-P interface. So, you're more out of luck.
