Hi guys....

Fast approacing are the price cuts of Intel... nd so is the eagerness

neways... coming back to the point... I have finalised the following configuration... You are welcome to make any changes if required...

1. CPU Q6600 : 15k
2. Mobo prolly 680i (suggest if this isn't good @ 10k)
3. GPU eVga 8800GTX : 25k
4. PSU (600W or 500 W cudn't decide)
5. RAM 2 x 1 GB :4k
6. HDD 320 GB sata : @4k
7.Monitor : 22" Dell courtesy Raghu

8. Cabinet : XG viper 2 courtesy KMD

what else is remaining??:huh:

Hope i get the first 6 things within 60k... have persuaded dad to increase the budget from 40k till here...lol.. so no more further...

@kau , mate i think 650i would be sufficient for you as you are not going for SLI , this would significantly lower budget and you can go for an 8600GT or an 8800 GT

since u arent thinking of sli , go for xfx 650i ...but dont compromise on 8800GTX
nothing to be ashamed of , u got a great config ready...

go for a good ( i dunno much , but i wud prefer 600W ) psu . make sure the psu gives atleast 30A on the 12volt rail thats a minimmum i heard for the 8800GTX.

tell me how ur pc rocks after buying...

u cud include a good gamepad , say like the one with dual analog sticks , just cost abt .5 k and give gr8 gaming experience..

ordered the q6600 nd GTX... 'llbe getting next week

...now regd. mobo... shud i go for asus p5n32-e or the new one P5K-VM.... coz i guess the price is almost the same... the later being latest...

Some 680i mobos have pci express slots for physics processing through havokfx so i suggest u buy a 680i mobo.U can use an 8600gt and 8800GTX in tandom for physics and Graphics processing.

So I am planning to ask my cousin to buy it for me, but he'll come back in december

and thats too late.

I agree totally with Slugger. Nowadays there are many such posts which give no hint of the subject. Also such posts will not get much attention.
