ppl, Just check in Device manager that in which DMA mode your optical drive is working, I was just checking the specifications, The newer optical drives like Lite-on 20A1P do support UDMA 4, Check on their site. and I guess Its same for all newer drives from Sony and Asus.
But the thing is,Are these optical drive really working in UDMA 4...?
Has anyone checked this...
Though I am unable to change the DMA mode to UDMA 4 for my drive, but it might be due that I have another Ultra DMA 2 drive on the same IDE chammel.
