Dell allows u to customize ur laptop. You can select what u want and what u don't want. By default the procesor gonna be 5250 but u can select between

T5450
T7300 and
T7500

Only processor rates gonna be decreased so I don't think there would be much difference in the prices of lappy as of now.

Hey.... just happened to check the link for the inspiron thing.... Don't u think 57,574.00 Rs. is too much for just 3GB of additional RAM... or is it the standard rate????

One of my friends broke of his Dvd drive in his Dell laptop... And the service people said it will take two months to repair. They are gonna send it to Bangalore. But Hp people do it immediately.

Customised dell 1520 is the best bet.. If you need only a HP, look at the dv2500 series..

Never ever opt for a RAM upgrade at the Dell site.. their RAM upgrade prices are atrocious.. Just opt for a 1GB RAM (2 x 512MB), get the lappy, buy your own transcend 1 GB / 2 GB sticks x2 and use them.. that way you could save some bucks..!

But that would void the warranty of your Laptop.
