Many say that the LCD is not good for viewing for more than 2 hours. I dont think its true becoz if it were wud big IT companies have them 4 their staff???
Anyways nowadays LCD have a better viewing angle. I recommend viewsonic and samsung only .... U may need the use of an anti glare screen. but other than the price diff everything is better in the LCD.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
CRTs have become inexpensive, are dependable, have good clear pictures and can be viewed from any angle but are heavy, eat up more electricity and take up a lot of desktop space.
LCDs or flat panel displays weigh much less, are only a few inches thick consume only one-third to one-half the power of CRTs and provide a crisp bright display that's easier on the eyes. The main drawback of early LCDs was that the display would "wash out" when viewed off center.
Viewing angle is also a problem with LCDs...
Although modern LCDs are much improved in those "grey" areas, CRTs are still better suited to graphics professionals or those that require exacting color consistency that does not change hue with viewing angle. Video editors, gamers and game developers or anyone that works with fast moving images in a professional capacity might also prefer CRTs.......
