Default unable to print on a network

hi,

I have 2 PCs(one P4 with WinXP and other P3 with win 98)connected through a LAN and a printer connected to the win98 PC.

I want to share that printer with my other pc too.

But when I try to add the printer add printer wizard just stops responding.
Please tell me how to solve this problem...

Thanks in advance

please answer me these question:
1) wht OS is loaded on other computer
2) Can you share DATA between the two PC

Here is the steps to share printer in a small network.You have mentioned that host computer is win98.

1)Start-->>Settings-->>Printers.

2) In the Printers window, right-click the printer and select Sharing. Fill in the form and click OK.

3)Now go to other PC.Make sure both PC are connected through LAN.And host PC is ON and printer is also attached and is in ON state.
start-->>control panel-->>printer and faxes

4) In printer and faxes windows..right click and select "add printer"

click Next

select "A network printer..." and click Next.

select browse for a printer.

Now you will be shown list of printers connected in network.Select your printer. Thats all.Your printer is ready for sharing.
