why the disk in not opening

Hi
in one of our computer whenever we double click any of the partitions it is not opening and showing the following message in a pop up small window.

" windows cannot find 'copy.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click search. "
we are right clicking on any partition and clicking open or explore then it opens.
Please help.

COPY.EXE cud be a trojan. scan ur pc with a good av like kav follow it up withe a ccleaner wash.

if problem remains post ur hjt logfile here.

Agree, it sounds like something I had about a month ago, it is more then likely a trojan. I use ewido's online scan, but try scanning with you AV scanner. you could also try smitfraudfix or hijackthis!

thanks anandk and Liggy, but online scanning and hjt may be a problem since the pc is in a small town and does not have a internet connection, let me see.

My friend formatted the partitions causing problem and the problem was solved before I could pass on this info. Thanks again
