...what should i do..is the only option left to replace my drive?

Funny username. As for your problem, Ejecting the drive using the pin will surely work. Make sure the pin is atleast 2-inch long, give it another try. Since it is a hardware fault, the option from Windows doesn't mean much.
If it is under warranty, you can get it repaired/replaced. Worth trying.
