dvd drive does not eject!! :(

i am having a dvd-w drive which i have been using for the past 1 year.. as of late, it was having toruble ejecting nd now it does not even eject...i tried pushing the pin thorough the hole and it does not work even when the syetem is booting...i cant eject evn thourough the windows option to eject the media
...what should i do..is the only option left to replace my drive?

Funny username. As for your problem, Ejecting the drive using the pin will surely work. Make sure the pin is atleast 2-inch long, give it another try. Since it is a hardware fault, the option from Windows doesn't mean much.

If it is under warranty, you can get it repaired/replaced. Worth trying.
