Acer laptop is not starting....

when i connect my acer laptop to the power as soon as swithcing on the main power button on laptop its not showing any sign. i have checked that power is coming in mine adapter but its not reaching towards thr laptop....

plz help me....

so you plug adapter into wall then test if there is voltage from adapter? .have you tried to leave the adapter plugged in 2 computer for an hour to charge the battery? when adapter is plugged into lappy the charge light should display. is this a new laptop?
