Cool buying USB thumb drive


I am looking for USB thumb drive.I want to buy transcend . I want to know that all the transcend model present there in the website are available in India or or not ? I want to buy a 4 gb or if available 8 GB usb drive . not looking for external HDD . whats the price of 4 gb or 8 gb ?

a 4GB stick may cost u not more than 2K and for 8GB, not more than 3.5K

^^^ I suggest u go fer d Sandisk Cruzer 2GB fer less than 1k(Somethin around 800 bux I guess...) Has a U3 s/w fer additional lockin n lotta purposes... Excellent drive...

Rite now 2 GB has a gft VFM... 4 GB is priced close to 2k...

Yes pkt3000 dont go for transcend.Itz only brand name and no value for money
.Buy sandisk Cruzer U3 Micro .Highly rated in 4gb series everywhere and good transfer rate .Warranty around 2 yrs i think

well , I do have a trancend 512mb 2 years old ( that time 512 costs Rs 1700 ) . now I am also thikig about a good thumb drive . @ihatemyself hows the data transfer rate there at sandisk Cruzer U3 Micro ? anyother good thumb drive ? i am also looking for 4gb or more than 4 gb .

Here is the data
Instead of rate stated by the vendor i am giving u actual test results(benchmarks by eminent sources)
Single file Read - 17.66 MB/s Write- 7.21 MB/s
Multiple file Read -14.22 MB/s Write- 6.24 MB/s
CPU Utilization % (By Everest 2006 Read/Write * 100 ) -14/5
I think this much data is enough to make it the leader in 4GB series
This pendrive is considered best in 1GB series as well

yeah ...thanks Mr Ihatemyself .I am thinking should I wait for a year to buy say 16 GB at the same price of today's 4 gb or should I buy it. As I have 512 now...it is ok for till date but nowadays I feel that I am often come to a 'not enough space' situation thats why I need to data Tr between HDD and thumb . .... ok lets seee anyway going to Lamington tomorrow .....
