Default mouse problem


i ve a p3 1.33ghz with mercury 810 board.the problem is that mouse is malfunctioning. the buttons are working fine but the cursor is not moving. i ve changed several mouses but in vain. is the ps/2 port has the prob. can it be repaired or shall i opt for serial or USB mouse? are these kinds of mouses available in the market? are there any sort of adapter to connect ps/2 mouse to serial or USB port?

Seems the onboard ps/2 connector's gone bad.
Get yourself a USB optical mouse.Easily available.
