which 1`s good between AW-G170A & AW-G170S ?

whots the diff ?

or which other sony drive is the best, which will read & write all types od DVD`s ?

I see that you got a new Hard Disk.. Can you plz give me a little info about your purchase ? I'm also in a position to buy a new Hard Disk..

I got this much only.. BTW the dealers here recommend to go for Sony DR-170 C.. They are hassel-free.

AW-G170s has SATA connectivity n d other has IDE...

Both're good but SATA here doesn hav much of an advantage over the other dunno why... Read frm reviews; Time fer burnin d DVDs/CDs're jus the same!!!

SATA of corz reduces clutter coz of the thinner cable n help u organize ur system well...

Jus a matter of 200-300 price diff....

Well... D above both're good...

As he said DRU-170c is also gr8... a newer model..

thanx 4 the replies ........ bt still confused ....... & these dealers make u more ....... just visited a shop @ lam. , he made my head more in a rotating position ..... he says "sony bad, go 4 liteon" .........

@cooldip10 ......... just got myself an internal hdd ....... western digital 160 gb hdd ...... 4 3200rs ....... bt made it external using trandscend casing 4 750rs ......

160Gb fer 3200??? Inclusive of the transcend casin I believe...

How come you boot then?? Can you boot from USB HDD??
BTW good deal :: Rs 3200 for 160 GB.. just great

You know a dealer here (beside my vicinity) says a 80 GB would cost me around Rs 2.9K .. Now 160 GB HD seems a good one!

prices r falling ......... & so is THE QUALITY ............

i just plugin my new USB HDD & take backup .........

i dont know any dealers in delhi ....... sorry frd ........

80GB shouldn't be more than 1800/- and 160gb - 2400/-
