will this mobo support this card?

A friend of mine is buying the Mercury PI865GM since he needs something equivalent to his intel 865 gbf & he doesnt wana go for a total upgrade coz hes got everything.. RAM, graphics card etc
My question is will Mercury PI865GM support cards like ATI x800 XT & 7800 GT? I know those card should be AGP since his mobo also has a AGP slot.
But while checking the supported cards for Mercury PI865GM I saw only low end cards e.g nvidia 5200 to 5900 & ATI till 9500 which scares him that it may not support high end cards like x800 n 7800
Please help

Intel D865GBF is based on 865G chip set which supports agp8x. But mecury PI865GM is based on 865gv which dosen't supports agp8x (on 13th june I went to bought that mobo, checked the manual & skipped the purchase)
If your friend install a agp card that will run in pci mode
