Exclamation pc goes on / off at will


The problem with my pc which began 2-3 days before is that many times during normal operation it goes off without any reson and then it *may* then ve on again. I checked all connection are tight and also all PME events are disabled in BIOS. I use GNU/Linux. Pls help.

please check your cpu temperature! looks like a overheating problem!!
recommended reading.. Overheating problems

also check your power cables both in and out of your cabinet. check for loose connections at the back of ur ups.
