OS not loading, skipping to restarting modd-reg

dear,
i m using P4 2.6.
this was happend first. whn turning on the pc, it will boot, thn while loading XP, skipping to the restart. wht my thought was, this may be due to out of memory. i have doubled mmc.still same effect.
today wht i done is, booted frm XP cd, then it workd the setup and all. it a ked whr P to be ibstalled, i have sected C:. it checked, and skipped by showing a msg tht, C: containing non repaired errors,fix thm first. wht i done is, thr fdisk, formated C: and tried to install Win 98se. Everything worked fine first, and again showed tht, in d ive C: containing large no od bad sectors, fix it or read setup.txt in disk vol 1. i have some questios to sort out, thats;
1) wht and hw these problam occured?
2) hw is the remody?

first of all always download a Hiren Boot CD and than fix your error from DOS, Secondly of the problem is still there try to run on safe mode and than see which softwares you currently installed, try to remove that softwares and than restart the computer in normal mode. If the problem is still comes, reinstall the winxp . I hope the problem will solved.

if your HDD is under warranty get it replaced. bad sectors in sector C: will always cause problems.
