Talking AMD PC buyin Guide!!!


Guys here are basic 2 rigs fer AMD ppl...
One's a Basic rig; I mean Value-fer-money n D other is a high end...

Basic Rig:

Proccy: Athlon 64 X2 4200+- 2.2GHz 1MB L2 cache- Rs. 5200

Mobo: Jetway-M2A692-GDG-[AMD 690G and SB600 Chipset]- Rs. 3400
OR
Asus-M2AVM-HDMI-[AMD 690G and SB600 Chipset]- Rs. 5100
OR
Asus-M2N MX-[NVIDIA GeForce 6100 and nForce 430 Chipset- Rs.3600
OR
Biostar TF7050-M2- Around Rs 5k...

RAM: Transcend/ Kingston DDR 2-1 GB 667 Mhz-Rs. 2000

HDD: Seagate-Sata 2 160 GB- Rs. 2350(Check out fer 7200.10 as well!!!)

Grafix: Onboard.

well the Basic rig should contain the X2 4200+ processor, cause the price difference is only 1K & hugh performance gain,

lso in the moderate gaming rig the processor should have been a X2 5200 which costs around 9.5k,


BTw also add the new 7 series onboard mobo containing geforce 7050 gfx in your buying guide,
the model no. is Biostar TF7050-M2 the price will be simmilar to the 690g chipset baset mobo,

anyways , all in all a good post

@gannu_rox : Nice post dude.

But, avoid Sony drives for now coz they are either Samsung or NEC OEMs.

And get PowerSafe PSU's ....they're much better than Zeb...and are better performers!

@samrulez- I personally use a Powersafe 600W PSU

As u'd mentioned its a good one indeed..

which mobo 4 AMD offers best onboard graphics?
No overclocking, SLI etc.
JUst good display and sound so that graphics card can be bought later...

asus m2a-vm it gives the highest frame rates.. go get it & their is another good or even better recommendation MSI K9AGM2-FIH..u can even go with this
