Weird Problem!!!

My config is:
Intel 946 MBD, P4 3.0GHz HT processor , 1.5GB 533MHz RAM,200GB HDD.


While playing games the graphics comes in hanging way.It appears that game is hanging . Like in a car racing the cars appears to be normal but the surrounding graphics appears as if game is hanging.These are the games that can run even on very low configuration...But this problem is only there if I use Windows XP...not in Windows Vista.
There is no problem with CD of XP ...I Hv tested it on other PCs
Also the performance of XP is very less as compared to Vista..it gets hang easily.
So i feel the problem is with my Motherboard..please if anyone hv some other views.

you get better performance coz Vista is DX 10 and maybe it gives better support to your onboard GFX..
and well there can be many issues like drivers Etc. for this.. try updating the BIOS or only the GFX drivers..

well there is no such problem coz game like GTA Vice City is givin such prob...n i hv upgrade ma BIOS n gff driver too...bt dre is no effect ...its lyk XP is unsupportable on dis board.

have you also tried updating the motherboard chipset drivers.. (well i suppose you must have)

then is your windows Genuine.. (if yes) then try to update the DX (libraries)
if GTA vice city is also giving problems then it is possible that the board drivers are not very compatible with Xp.. (by default) you can write this issue to INTEL.. and i guess many members on this forum did report it..(AFAIR)

well i did talked to INtel about this...but they r not ready to belive it...according to them XP is fully supported...so i was just plannin to send motherboard fr replacement...
yu wont believe games startin from midtown madness to quake 4 are givin same probs...so one cant doubt on software coz everything is fyn wid Vista

i dont think its mobo issue.. its definately some Driver problem.. 946 chipset is one that comes with 3000 one( i am confused a bit) is it that.. and also with dolby sound in some edition..

that board causes problem.. i am sure.. did you try updating your system.. (windows UPDATE)

ya 946 is that one only....
ya everythin is up to date ....i hv researched a lot bout this fr more den a month...i even chkd wid oder processors n RAm...bt da prob still continued...i hv another PC wid 845 moderboard n 640mb RAM n 2.0GHz prccsr...it hv the same XP n all games run fine on it..

this gives a clear indication with XP support problem.. well let other forum members too to act upon this.. maybe they could click something..
