I have bought my config except the LCD Monitor. I need to buy it soon. May be two/three days. I need a 17" lcd monitor. The vendors at my place are having viewsonic 1703wb, viewsonic 1703, Samsung 740N, Some HP LCD Monitor and Acer(dont know model but 17"). Please suggest me a good 17" LCD Monitor. Does opting a widescreen one benefit me or not? I think viewsonic is the only one in 17" to have a wide screen monitor. Is it good for gaming and movies? Does anyone have problems using one? Waiting your response..... |

If you have to go for 17 inch widescreen then go for viewscreen 170wb
& if you decide to buy 19 inch then go for viewsonic VG921m, VG930m(non widescreen), BenQ FP92W

My criterion is not necessarily a widescreen. But I've checked the website and Samsung 740N had 600:1 contrast ratio and the brightness is also greater than that of viewsonic. (viewsonic contrast ratio: 500:1).
* The Samsung 740N won the zero1 awards of digit in dec'06 and in the latest shootout of lcd's, digit mentioned that it wasnt performing well. Suggest me which is better? Samsung 740N or Viewsonic 1703wb or any other one?? |

Please someone answer.. I need to buy the monitor soon. I found the two LG Lcd monitors in the site. Please comment on these. I dont see LG monitors being discussed about much. All I see are samsung/viewsonic/benq. Is it worth going for LG? How much do they cost? http://www.lgindia.com/Product/Produ...yname=Monitors Please give me a suggestion soon.. Does widescreen stretch the game window? Do I have the option to turn off the widescreen resolution in games? How does the experience with widescreens in games would be like? Please help me decide.....
