Default cost of rams

Kingston
DDR 1
1 GB 400 Mhz
Rs 3300

Kingston
DDR 2
1 GB 667 Mhz
Rs 2000

Why does DDR1 costs more than DDR2 ?

Yes, DDR1 is expensive than DDR2 since DDR2 is in Mainstream these days. All new PC need DDR2 so what is in Mainstream is cheaper. Same thing like SDRAM was expensive when DDR came out.

Such brands have both value and performance series. But still, "Corsair Value Select" series costs more than other brands available here, as far as I know.
