APC battery replacement

my apc ups battery has come to end of its life. how much will a new battery cost? can i replace the battery myself or do i need a technician. is it possible to use non-apc batteries and replace them myself? how much will non-apc battery cost. my model is back-ups ES 500.

Better rely on d tech...

Others'd do.... But d proper ratings's a must... Why of corz APC batts're frm OEM I believe....

Mostly some 500 to 600 bucks... DAts it... 500VA... So I guess mus be dat...

yup.. u can get a exide battery for ~ 500-600 bucks. most UPS use standard batery..

Normally UPSs use 12V and 7 or 7.5 AH SMF (sealed maintenance free) batteries, for which you have to pay Rs.500 to 600 in case of brands like Exide. But the question is whether the size and specifications are the same in case of APC also.

for our APC 10 kVA UPS we have to pay 2900. Maybe that is different? It is a 17AH battery.

I'd an APC back ups AVR-500 and used an Exide replacement... All APC ups' makes use of OEM batteries manufactured by others.... Specs're perfect, so is the size...

It jus fits!!!
