Unhappy Lots of H.ware problems

I've been facing many probls with my comp ever since i purchased it.

1.) My headphone and earphone jacks always give a nasty message saying "Power surge on USB Hub port" and then i get a dialog box in which i have 2 click reset 2 continue. This happens each and every time i plug in either my headphones or microphones or both (They're integrated), either before powering on the system or while it's running.

2.) I purchased a flash drive ( capacity:256 mb, make:Zion ). While I had win xp on my system it worked fine, but ever since i've installed win xp sp-2 on my system it has all of a sudden stopped working on my system. I tried using it on my friend's system having win xp sp-2 and oohh it just worked so fine. When I plug in my flash drive on the system when it's running or before powering up, the system just hangs !!

Please help me I M very worried..as my work is being hampered due 2 this.

solution for 1:
1)In system tray icon..open sound manager
2)there is such option,to alert you.Just uncheck that box.

Solution for 2:
I think your flash drive is in good health.Update your windows XP from microsoft.Install the driver for pendrive using the CD.And yes,do full scan of your system for virus.
