problem with samsung 18X DVD writer

i recently purchased samsung 18X dvd writer...the problem is that it can't read some of the DVDs(but they r working in my laptop).... it can read original DVDs and those DVDs which i write using my DVD writer

Why did u buy a Samsung writer?? Dat stuff sucks...
Samsung CD n DVD burners doesn do a god job eve since they've entered the market... Exceptions may be there....

But U cud've invested in a sony or a Lite-on instead... If its not late I suggest u return d prod n get a sony DRU-830A....

I recently searched for it here(in Delhi). None of the vendors had DRU 830A.

They suggested me to get SONY DRU 170C @ around Rs 2200. (1 Yr warranty) Negotiable as I'm an old customer for the shop.

DRU 170C is also a good choice. Do check it out.
