Default is my pc too hot???


i have a p4(3.0GHz), 512MB ddr(400MHz) ram

i usually get temprateures for my cpu ranging from 50c-75c

is it normal???

I suppose you have a Prescott... Yes Prescotts run a bit hotter.... However thats quite high a temperature.....Check you cabinet ventilation..

For prescott..........load temps of 70-75C is oK.

Prescotts were hot but i had a prescott in my HCl machine a long time back.. it ran merely on 45 on loads then i came to know my BIOS was reporting incorrect temp. actually the ori. temp. was 65 so till 75 its ok but it would be better if you remove your heatsink FAN and clean it and then place it back.. try some more cooling tricks on cabinet
