Default Boot From Cdrom : No Emulation


IAM HAVING P4 1.6 ,ASUS MOTHERBOARD ,40gb hdd

when iam installing winxp pro sp2, it says NO EMULATION while boot from cdrom,what i have to do


i have checked my cdrom and hardisk both of them working fine when iam connecting to different motherboard


i selected my first boot device has cdrom and installing winxp ,its asking press any key to boot from cdrom ,if iam pressing a key it says NO EMULATION after that installation stops and cursor is blinking .what i have to do

Might be imcompatibilty issue with BIOS, get a BIOS upgarde and try again..

Correct..
I found out that Windows XP uses 'El Torito' Emulation for its Boot Discs... Maybe his BIOS doesn't support that emulation... A BIOS flash will surely make it work...

my bios version is 1008 , i uprgaded to 1009

the upgraded version 1009 looks different from the older version 1008

iam unable to select the boot device & it doesnt have an option of delete and f8 key to select my boot .

it automatically detects floppy and cdrom ,its not detecting my harddisk

what i have to do
