Smile SMPS for Athlon 64 X2 3800+

I am using 300watt SMPS for my p4 machine.I want to upgrade to Athlon 64 X2 3800+.Can I use the same (300watt) SMPS ?

Ontopic: Yeah you can use a 300 for it but tell us other details, like your GPU etc, cause it might need you to get a higher rated SMPS ..

i guess a 300w is a lil low, a 450-500w will be better, also if he is upgrading, he doesn't need to think abt it twice

dude!this is wrong section.this is open source,where Linux os and FOSS softwares are discussed.ask a mod to move it to Hardware section.It helps.

your old one may be around 2years old(that my guess) so better get a new 400w smps.

By all means get one with more wattage and preferably a better known brand.
From lesser known brands like Zebronics and Powersafe to well known and costlier ones like Antec, Coolermaster, Corsair etc.

Happened to see a Coolermaster 380W SMPS for just Rs.2100/-
