Default Problem with TV output.

hi friends,

i have a PS2,

i wanted to connect it to a TV which doesnt have an AV-Port,

so i baught an AV to RF converter,

this TV is around 15 years old(manufactured by some company called OPTONICA),

the problem is when i switch on my PS@ i can hear the sound pretty well,

but the video is split into 3 parts, i.e the main boot screen of the PS2 is seen, but 3 images of the same boot screen is seen on the TV,

and everything is in black&white, no colour at all,

i tried tuning several time but to no avail,

plz help me out.
