My monitor showing horizontal lines...

Hi,
Some days back my monitor (samsung 56v 15 inch) started showing flickering bands of horizontal lines about 4 inches from the top.The band of lines is around 1.5 inches thick.I can read through them...its just that it keeps flickering.It is a hardware problem.My query is....Where can I send this monitor for repair?
Do I need to send it to samsung ( its now out of warranty) ....or can I get it repaired at local electronics repairs ??

There should be an authorized samsung service center around ur place. I can tell u if u are in bangalore.

I am in GOA ...I searched the samsung website...and it shows no service centers in GOA.

In that case can I send it to local repair shop where they repair Tv's and all ??

no...don't do that....what happened to ur comp vendor? If u assembled it urself, hunt for one. if U have a voice directory(like just dial) call em up and ask for a comp service centre near ur place....
My dad fixes it himself.....so I don have much idea.....
