Default Old Hard Drive For My New Athlon X2

Hey guys....I purchased Athlon 64 X2 3800+ with Asus M2N-E mobo. I got new WD 250GB SATA-II hard drive. Now I have old Segate PATA drive along with my old Sony DVD-RW which has also PATA interface. Now problem is that my mobo has only one Primary IDE connector. But I want to connect my old HDD and DVD-RW. How to do this....?

Connect new SATA HDD to SATA port on the mobot.

You can connect both old HDD and DVD-RW to the IDE port on the mobo. You can connect two PATA devices to one pata IDE port

That's true but I have to connect same cable on both HDD and DVD-RW. And the cable is too short to connect both of these devices....!!

Get a 80 pin IDE conductor cable from any PC hardware shop. It costs somewhere around 40 rupees.

^^ I face the same problem with all new boards.
Well what you can do is connect the ODD to mobo IDE channel and connect HDD to a PCI IDE Raid card.Use it as IDE controller, thats what you can do sadly,no other way
