You can have Kingston DDR2 667Mhz - 2250

533 will be 25-50 lesser than that

hey kooldude
did u see 533 mhz ht technology (ie when ht is enabled it is 800 mhz).
so do u think ur suggestion is right. well just asking to confirm(no grudges plz)

and u didnt tell about dual channel support

my motherboard has only two memory slots so i think there is no support 4 dual channel....and can u tell me a good ddr2 1 gb ram which costs under 4000

just go to your BIOS and see the RAM share size and reduce it to 64 MB... i had that chipset long back... there can be many problems... like power, faulty RAM , faulty OS.. defragment needed by HDD

Estimated Prices can be found here.

400Mhz DDR1 is expensive but International prices of RAM are falling drastically.. Expect mor cuts. Kingston is selling like 3600 for 2GB in US

2GB Single Stick Module is expensive and not easily available. It is better to get 2 sticks of 1GB Each

Thumbs up Re: RAM needed

For Corsair Value RAM click here: http://www.yantraonline.in/Product.asp?SubCatId=3
You can get 5% off by not choosing credit card payment method. I think it will make it a good deal too.

I think these prices are incorrect. I myself confirmed the price from Tirupati Enterprises (for Corsair) at Nehru Place and 1 GB 667 MHz is retailing for 3,800/- + tax. Even newer brands like Apogee is quoting for 3,400/- + tax. So 2,575/- for decent brand like Transcend looks unrealistic. Are you sure these prices are correct?

Kingston sells in my city for around Rs 2500. Dynet is cheap Rs 2100 and yes it is 1GB 667 DDR2 with 3 yr warranty
