SOS HDD Crashed Need to Recover Data

My Western Digital 80GB HDD crashed and not able to access the drive as it seems a reading head has broken or something, as it is making noise when trying access that.

Please tell me what are the options, are there any data recovery comanies who recover data from crashed hdd. Please give me details of such people from Hyderabad, Banaglore, Chennai or Mumbai.


The company should be very reliable as there is some very very valuable data is stored in the HDD.

How old is it? I too have a WD 80GB HD which is 2 years old. Will it crash? I should backup my data now...

there are many companies who do these jobs.. but you can try your local market and even WD people will do that for you, just you have to pay them.. and look, if you have a spare HDD(any old one) you can do it yourself.. well i do it myself.. and for my friends too... so you can either contact your local market or WD.. try googling..
