Help Me out - RAM

I have a pc with
INTEL 915 GV chipset & an intel p4 processor 519( Intel EM64T.3.06 Ghz, 533 Mhz FSB, 1 MB L2 cache)

now i want to upgrade the ram to 1gb. plz tell whch ram should i use and also the price. also tell whether i should go for two pieces of 512 mb ram or a single piece and of what frequeny will suite better

currently i have 256 mb ddr2 ram at 533 mhz

ur M/B supports dual channel DDR2 ram ,so go for
DDR2 - > 2 X 512 MB @533 Mhz for better performance.
brand - u could go for transcend ,they offer lifetime warranty.
other options are kingston .U could go for OCZ or Corsair if u r into overclocking.

If u are a gamer then u will require DUAL CHANNEL but if u are a casual user then there is no need to buy 2 sticks then buy a single 1 GB stick.
Also in dual channel u will hardly notice a difference but only in gaming.
