Not really... Only audiophiles may want a soundcard... For casual users, the onboard soundcard is usually sufficient, especially if they are coupled with headphones or 2.0/2.1 speaker sets...

yaa if u r not that much audiophile don't go for sound card...stick with ur onboard sound ..it'ss enough for normal music listener...
