Need something like USB (Pen) Drive Extension........?

My friend has a Pen Drive
His front USB Port has been damadged due to some reasons
Now he is unable to insert his Pen Drive into it
He can only use it if he pulls his very big computer table n than remove his scanner & insert his pen drive their
But this is too difficult
So
Is their any thing like extension for USB port or a New USB Port
so that he can fit that to its front for easy use

normally all pen drives come with a usb extension cable...u will be able to use tht....however, u will have to switch b/w pen drive and scanner...

a usb hub wd be costlier than a usb extension cable

^^ if he needs to connect his printer/scanner and the pen drive same time???
so usb hub is the only option.

if only front USB socket might be damaged then ,you can see on mother where this usb pin are connected .remove that cable and count the pins on motherboard.(generally their are 9 pins). for Rs 50 you will get such cable which will have nine pins at one end, and two USB port at other end. ( you have to fix this cable at back pci slot.)

ok I am understanding a little
He has 2 x 9 pins on his motherboard, he dont have high budget
ya he can compromise & switch between scanner & Pen drive because he rarely uses scanner
He dont have USB extension cable which came with Pen drive
So I think i should search for USB extension cable
