Default Logitech Mouse going dead...


I have a Logitech optical mouse. It has fell down a couple of times, but I never experienced any such difficulty with it until now. Lately*I*have*developed*a*habit*of*eating*near*my* computer,*due*to*which*oil*(and*maybe*some*beverag e)*has*seeped*inside*my*mouse.*It*is*still*working *fine,*except*that*the*left*mouse*button*is*malfun ctioning*a*bit.*The*left*mouse*buttons*(sometimes) *performs*a*double*click,*even*when*I*click*it*onc e.*I*am*sure*that*the*problem*is*with*the*mouse,*b ecause*the*problem*is*common*to*both*Windows*and*L inux.*My*mouse*is*now*out*of*warranty*period,*so*I *can't*get*it*replaced.*Any*idea*if*I*can*do*it*my self,*or*will*I*have*have*to*spend*money**and*ge t*a*new*one?

Why is there an asterisk after each word? Space bar gone bad? You are talking about a mouse here. Mice are cheap. Buy a new one.

It's appearing correctly now. Right now I'm posting from Linux. Earlier posted from Windows.

Just open the moiuse and clean with a cloth. there wud be a small red button below each mouse buttons-just clean it nd see if it works.
U can get a brand new optical mouse for 300 bucks.

u can also open the mouse,, and clean with spirit,, so that all the circuit and components be cleaned..
