Combo drive LG GCC 4522B doesn't read DVD's

Hi,
I am Having issues with my combo drive(GCC 4522B), it is not reading the DVD's properly. It read the same dvd previously efficiently... But now it just hangs the windows explorer by waiting indefinitely...
The original firmware Firmware version is 1.03, I browsed the LG site to find new firmware, and I have found newer 1.04 firmware but still the dvd drive is not working perfectly sometimes it just doesn't shows up any content.

I initially too had problems with some DVD's but now it is giving me this sign more with all my DVD's ... I googled and found that the problem is with design and LG has actually stopped this model completely.

I contacted the LG service center thru mail giving details of problem and drive and they told me on phone that they will replace the drive, but when I told my drive is 18 months old and out of warranty they said they can't do anything about it.

What the hell, They knw the the model is quite buggy are ready to replace but as soon they get to knw that it is out of warranty they can't do anything.
What crap.
Now my combo drive is working like a CD writer, crap...
I never expected this from a huge company like LG who will make such buggy drives and then leave customers with it.

Guys I would suggest stay away frm LG drives, they suck.

same drive man usin it for 2 years had no problems use a cd cleaner it 'should work fine

if it doesn't get it replaced if it is in warranty period .....
& just because it didn't work for u..........lg doesn't suck at dvd drives

Yeah, It can't be the same for everybody, But The service center ppl themselves said that we will replace the drive but as soon I told that it is out of warranty...The service engineer suggested me to buy a new drive.
This is the worst thing to hear... 8-(.

So they make themselves completely irresponible for it, Leave the customers to bear it. even when they know this bug is quite normal with this model.
