Exclamation who is da culprit???

i'm stating a problem what my friend is facing now...
he was using his machine...like casual web browsing, media player, download thru torrent...
suddenly his monitor went blank, hdd led pc power led was not lit by then, no sounds of cpu fans...
upon removing one side of cabinet, no sign of external thing like burn or burnt smell...
after sometime wen he tried to switch it on, no fan movement inside da cpu, no beep sound...nothing.
two things...one was monitor's usual sound after normal switch on...other motherboard's led was visible...
that means there is power in the motherboard but no boot ups

now guyz plz help...who is da culprit?
may b smps/cpu/motherboard/ram/monitor????

one thing he's havin a p4 HT machine with SMPS, no GPU...
if ya need full specs plz ask
thanks in advance for helping
regards

1st. - Try another SMPS. I think SMPS is the main culprit.
2nd. - Try another RAM.

If not solved then lemme know.
