Default SATA or IDE


I am planning to purchase a combo drive, but am confused between the interfaces, which one i should buy offering better speeds and reliability SATA or IDE, are SATA drives expensive?

Are SATA optical drives even available in india yet? If you get them at decent prices go for SATA only! SATA is much better than IDE.

Yeah those are faster than IDE & performs better.

I don't know whether they are available in INDIA or not, because i searched on the various websites about the various interfaces and got excited to purchase one. will it be expensive or same in price to that of IDE drives.
