which one is the best processor available for AMD 64bit /754 Pin Based MotherBoards ?
my friend is using amd sempron 2800+(1.6 Ghz) and now he wants to upgrade as
visual studio runs a bit slow though he has 512 Mb ram. guys suggest ..

tell him to change the mobo+proccy... 754 pin was too old...
else tell him to increase the ram to 1gb

he bought it few months ago as his buget was very low.512mb ram is more than enough.he got ASUS K8V-MX ultra mobo with sata & pcie support.every thing is running fine.but now he wants to upgrade the processors.suggest with price..

Fastest 754 proc was the athon 64 3700 but you won't find them now....

skt 754 is history .. plus his CPU isn't bad ... tell ur friend to put in another 512 MB module , and he should see a good boost in VS performance ..
