Turion x2 or core 2 duo

m sry if dis had been discused alrdy but m in bit hurry so cudnt search...

well m askin this coz i gotta choose betwn turion x2 dual core wit nvidia geforce chipset or core 2 duo wit intel gma....benifit m gettin wid turion is d price...a little on which i can make more ddr2...so plz guide me...does core 2 duo has significant diff wit turion x2 64...???

Hardly there is marginal difference in performance of X2 and C2D whereas price diff. is hell 4000. AMD X2 4200+ is 5000 and C2D is more than 9000.

That much of diff is not justified. Moreover Intel GMA sucks and anything from NVidia & ATI is anyday better than GMA.

Then also X2 because NVidia has Geforce Go 6150 or 7400 as its integrated graphics whereas Intel has GMA 950. Everybody knows which is better. Processor here is not a concern but onboard graphics will make huge difference. Thus AMD lappy is better than Intel based lappy.

basically i wd get better cnfg like 1 gb ddr2 wit turion x2 at same price for 512 ddr2 wt c2d...i know core is better ne day but i wanna go wit better price....so is it advisable to go for tur x2 dual core wit 1 gb ddr2...

2ndly, turion cmin wit 14.1 xga n c2d wit 15.1 ...n i guess i like d shorter ones....
