Prices Wanted for PSU and Cabinet !!

Can anyone tell me the current prices for the following items in India (preferably in Kolkata)...

1) Antec Trupower 380/430 PSU !!!
2) Antec Cabinets (Not sure of the models but available performance ATX ones)

Any suggestions for readily available good alternatives for the above would be highly appreciated... but PSU shud be 400 W and cabinet should be spacious !!!

Antec are quite expensive, their psu rangesfrom 4000-7500/- & various cabinets are available ranging from 4000-11000/-

^^^ is the zebronics 500w platinum a good psu?does it provide sata connectors and 6-pin pci-e x16 power connectors ?if yes then how many sata connectors?

Well thats what I got to know but in reality I dont know what is good & how to test that goodness.

It has 1 sata connector & 3 power connector so u can add total 7 sata hdd with it.

There is a 6pin connector too but I don't know what is it meant for , my pci-e graphic card XFX 7600GT does not need any extra power it draws power from the mobo.

the PSU gets mounted ulta if ur cabby does not have upper vent & might me problem in some cases, the psu runs very very cool.

For cabby u can go for the following:
Antec Super lanboy: 5k with 350w PSU

Zebronics Peace or Antibiotic: with 400W PSU : 2.2k~2.5k

For PSU:
Powersafe 450w : 2.5k
Zebronics 500w Platinum series: 2~2.5k
Zebronics 640 Diamond[modular and SLI certified] : 4k
The Diamond from Zebronics has been awarder gold on many mags for its perfomance and stability.
Antec 500w: 4.5k
Antec are very costly. I recomend a platinum 500 for ur rig[as in ur siggy] or at max go for a diamond 540W @ 3k. Its best for the price.

Yes, Zebronics Diamond has 6 pin connector to gcard and also sata connectors. Its available in 540, 640 and 740w models.

^^^ but M.D Computers say that Zebronics dont hav any product named "Zebronics Diamond 540W"cuz its not therte in the product catalog.
from where can i get a Zebronics Diamond 540W in Kolkata?

These vendors are real lala type doing IT business, I don't know how long they will, or can continue running their business in such ignorant ways.

I had similar problems in delhi where the vendor claimed you get me the peace cabby any where in delhi if its from zebronics......................THERE IS NO SUCH MODEL< I AM THE LARGEST STOCKIST>>>>>>>>>>>I understood I am talking to the wrong vendor, so I contacted them via website& got their local office no &thats how I got the 2 things directly from them.

There is too much politics involved why some vendors do something or say somethings about certain products.

How much did it cost u??[Plat 500].

Also urs performs great coz u have 3 HDDs and a decent config and the PSU handles it well. My Zebronics 400W normal cudn't stand if i connect another HDD and one more optical drive. So im too planning to have Zebronics 400W Plat or 500W plat. As the price diff wont be much ill have to look for 500W.
Some doubts bout it:
Heard somewhere that its fan is noisy??Is it so?? And does its LED fan has enuf brightness?? After 15 to 30 min of full load is the air from its out hot??
And in what direction the bottom fan blows air???

Regarding Zebronics Products is concerned in Calcutta I believe M.D. Computers would charge u a lot more for the products and I would suggest u guys to contact Mr.Girish Kothary (9331269056) of Top Notch (3240 3299) in Lenin Sarani which is the Company Wholesaler and inquire about Jai Mahavira Computers from where I bought my Zebronics Antibiotic and Zeb 500 W Platinum about a year back.....both running just fine!!!

Yes its runs quite cool inspite of load & not only 3 hdd I have 2 usb disk often connected along with another 3-4 devices on usb / firewire ports, the psu has inbuilt fanless heat disappater further u have the fan to keep it cool, on full load it just feels warm but never hot.

The fan in 400 watts is noisy, but this platinum wala fan u cant hear the noise, its a 120 mm fan runs airflow downwards as I have to mount it ulta as show in the image.

N u dont have to do any modding inside psu, just mount it ulta..........simple. or have a case which has top vent for the psu or modd the case & make a cut to make a vent in the cabinet.

Seems cutting the top of cabby wud be good idea as it cud cool components further more.

I meant u have to mount the psu ulta u cant just reverse the fan without opening the psu............warranty void in that case & making the fan ulta wont help in any way, this PSU is designed like that.

It is a good thing it fits upside down.The fan can suck air and help in keeping things cool.

Coming to the testing part, ou can use a DMM for doing so.Load both the CPU n GPU with some intensive task and then monitor the voltages.

The key is that the voltages should not vary to much,that is a sign of a well built PSU

the test setup was -

AMD Opteron 170
1GB x 2 Transcend DDR400
Sapphire X1900XT
2 x HDD
2 x ODD
Audigy2

CPU and GPU both were overclocked and fully loaded.I used RHTDRBL orwhatever crap its called

for GPU stressing and SP2004 for CPU stressing.

The voltages you see in the DMM are with Full Load.
