It must be SATA disk ............right. Then just ignore the notification by windows, as it treats SATA HDD as hot swappable.

No problems yaar. It appears if u install the sata drivers also during the mobo chipset installation. The installation replaces default sata drivers. U can't select safely remove ur HDD coz it says 'access denied coz its in use now'.

Do ya have any nforce mobo?

His mobo is an intel chipset one. They dun show HDDs as removable storage.

Ive only seen this in nforce mobos and itll show only if u select 'SATA Drivers' also during chipset driver installation. But what is the problem with it yaar. Just leave it. It won't make any harm.

i do think u intalled storage drivers from motherboard cd..
To remove safty removal icon from taskbar u have to reinstall motherboard cd.
not the whole but where there is a option of storage driver.Just uncheck the box & install.it will not do any harm.
by the way which mobo do u using???
Reply if it works...
