Exclamation Buying a new ddr2 ram

Hi,

I have E6300+Asus P5B+with Transcend 512mb ddr2 ram, I want to upgrade it to 1 Gb, I am getting 512mb ddr2 4m Zion , but my vendor says it may be incompatible with my existing transcend module ! Is that so?

^^ There is probability.I would never do such a thing, buy one module and buy another one after some time and add it to my Rig.

Either i keep 1 stick or buy 2 sticks at a time.Avoids compatibility issues.

Why not? Ask ur dealer for Transcend service contact in Delhi. No harm in asking ur dealer itself.

Thats the most tricky part, the kolkattadealer may give u the address but the delhi distributor may not be obliged, there are many issues involved.

I bought Zyxel wifi dongle & it was giving problems I wanted to get it exchanged (Later I found it was driver clashing with zonealarm) so did not need the exchange, but when I sent a mail to zyxel I got a call from their distributor from bangalore to confirm the serial no & later told me that they are not going to provide the service since this was imported by another vendor from directly zyxel.

I was furious...........reported te matter to the vendor but by then the problem got sorted out.

Be careful about this, customer srvice is not a priority of many dealers inindia &customer is left to their own fate.
